Why do I need a 60 hr. class?
In order to be licensed as a home inspector in Illinois, the state requires everyone take a state licensed 60 hr. pre-licensing class given by a state licensed Education Provider.
Is Home Inspection Training Service licensed as such?
We have been a state licensed Education Provider since the inception of licensing. Our state license is #052.000116.
In seeking an Education Provider what questions should I ask?
Ask if the class ever leaves the building. (We spend 10 hours out in the field). Ask how many instructors per class (We have 5 licensed inspectors/class). Ask if they do anything with marketing, contracts, add-on services etc. (Each morning before class begins we have guest speakers: an attorney, real estate agent, mortgage broker, new inspector, mold specialist, radon specialist)
What else makes Home Inspection Training Service special?
We are one of the foremost inspection companies in Illinois. All our instructors are state licensed, experienced home inspectors. Where are you located?
Home Inspection Training Service is located in Mundelein, IL, just north of Chicago. However, many of are students come from downstate. Our reputation is such that for anyone who wants to get their license and be successful at this business, then we are the school to attend.
Why are classes held on the weekends?
Many of our students are currently working and our schedule allows them to get the required education in a timely manner with as little disruption to their work schedule as possible.
What about follow-up after I take your class?
All of our graduates are welcome to return and sit in on any of our pre-licensing classes at no charge.
